There are 10 Pokémon Centers all over Japan, with the latest branch in Kyoto. Mimicking the ones in the video games which trainers visit while during their journey to becoming a Pokémon master, Kyoto has the most traditional Pokémon Center and it also carries exclusive merchandise only limited to that store! KKday shows you a glimpse of the Pokémon Center and what to expect there. Do make a pitstop at the Pokémon Center if you are ever in Japan this coming June holidays!

You will be able to find all things related to Pokémon here, from stationary to plushies and even trading cards! There are stations within the area for you to play with the cards – you can only find that in Pokémon Centers, not Pokémon stores like the one in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City.

Tags of the products sold are categorised into three colour codes: blue, yellow and red.

Items under the blue price tag are sold only at Pokémon Centers and official online stores like Amazon. Yellow price tags are licenses products which you can find in anime stores as well.

Red price tags on the other hand are limited “Gotochi” products only found in that particular region. You will see some characteristics of a particular region on the merchandise.
